Which tool when?
- Intensive teamwork with comments: Gamma, Pitch, Google Slides
- Everything visual in one suite: Canva
- Right inside PowerPoint: Microsoft Copilot
- Your own PowerPoint, reports and proposals from one place: Slaide
Details, sources and check dates are below.
Slaide differs from presentation tools like Gamma, Pitch or Beautiful.ai mainly in three ways: it works with your existing PowerPoint and brand, it creates reports, proposals and spreadsheets as well as slides, and it delivers real Office files. In return collaboration is kept simple: you invite people by email to edit, and there are no comments, live cursors or shared team workspaces. If your team works intensively together on slides, Gamma, Pitch or Google Slides fit better.
At a glance
Who fits what.
Six well-known tools, each with what it does best, its free plan and the case in which Slaide fits better.
| Tool | Strongest at | Free plan | Slaide fits better when … |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gamma | Quickly turning a prompt into a designed deck, document or simple website; real-time collaboration | Yes: 400 one-time signup credits, watermark on exports | you need a result in your own design. Gamma itself documents that fonts, gradients and layout can differ after PPTX export. |
| Canva | A design suite for slides, social, video and print | Yes, with a limited monthly AI allowance | you need reports, proposals and slides built from your material rather than a filled template. |
| Pitch | Real-time team work on decks, analytics and deal rooms for sales | Yes: up to 5 members, 100 one-time AI credits, Pitch branding | you also need reports and proposals and do not want a team platform with analytics. |
| Beautiful.ai | Smart Slides that arrange themselves, for consistent team decks | No: a 14-day trial that needs a credit card | you want to start without a card and need more than presentations. |
| Microsoft Copilot | AI right inside PowerPoint, matching company templates and Microsoft 365 data | No: requires a Microsoft 365 subscription | you have no Copilot subscription and still want a PowerPoint result from a prompt and files. |
| Google Slides | A free editor with real-time collaboration | The editor yes; Gemini in Slides needs an eligible plan | you want AI slides without a Workspace plan and need more than presentations. |

How we compared
Name the strengths, name the limits too.
We only compare what can be checked on the vendors' official pages, and we give the check date. Where a vendor blocks automated price checks there is no number, only a note to look up the price there.
Every tool has strengths, and where another fits better we say so: for real-time collaboration (Gamma, Pitch, Google Slides), for design suites covering social, video and print (Canva) and inside Microsoft 365 (Copilot).
Slaide is the wrong choice if you …
- work as a team with comments, live cursors and shared workspaces on slides
- need video, large social-media libraries or print production
- already work with Copilot in Microsoft 365 and want to stay in the app
For everything else, the best test is your own job: one document is free.

Frequently asked
Questions about the comparison.
How is Slaide different from Gamma?
Gamma quickly turns a prompt into decks, documents and simple websites in its own style and is strong at real-time collaboration. Slaide works with your existing PowerPoint and design, also creates reports, proposals and spreadsheets and delivers real Office files. More on Slaide vs Gamma.
Is Slaide an alternative to Microsoft Copilot?
Copilot works right inside PowerPoint and requires a Microsoft 365 subscription; scope and sources depend on the licence. Slaide needs no Microsoft subscription and delivers a file you keep editing in PowerPoint. More on Slaide vs Microsoft Copilot.
Can several people work in Slaide at the same time?
Yes, in a simple form: you invite people by email to edit, they edit the document live, you see who is in it, and Slaide merges simultaneous changes element by element. There are no comments, live cursors or shared team workspaces. If your team needs exactly that, Gamma, Pitch or Google Slides fit better.
Which tools have a free plan?
Slaide: 1 document, no credit card, with a plan of up to 12 pages and 3 pages built in full. Gamma, Canva, Pitch and Google Slides also have a free tier with limits; Beautiful.ai only offers a 14-day trial that needs a credit card. Details are in the table above.
