Honest limits

  • Handwriting and very blurry scans can stay pictures; proofread text recognised from scans before sending the file.

  • Tables arrive as positioned text boxes, not as a PowerPoint table.

  • Charts are kept as graphics, not as editable chart data.

  • Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first.

Your file

  • Your PDF goes to our storage in the EU and is converted on our servers in the EU. If you do not create an account, an automatic clean-up deletes it within seven hours.

  • Pages with real text are converted without an AI model; for scanned pages and pages saved as pictures, an image of the page goes via OpenRouter to an AI model in the USA for text recognition.

  • With an account, the file stays with its presentation until you delete it. It is never used to train AI models.

How do I convert a PDF to an editable PowerPoint?

Upload the PDF at the top of this page and create a free account. Slaide rebuilds each page as text boxes, shapes and images in the original layout; the presentation lands in your library, and you download it as a .pptx that opens in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a free one: Google, Apple or email, no card. Uploading works without it; the presentation is created in your account right after you sign up, with no onboarding in between, and stays in your library.

Is the text really editable after the conversion?

Yes. Each text becomes its own text box with its size, colour and position. On scanned PDFs or PDFs exported as images the text is recognised first and rebuilt the same way; handwriting stays an image.

Can I convert a scanned PDF to PowerPoint?

Yes. Slaide recognises the text on scanned pages and on PDFs exported as pictures and rebuilds it as editable text boxes in the closest matching font; photos become separate images, flat boxes and lines become shapes. Proofread recognised text before you send the file.
