To turn a Word document into a PowerPoint, drop the .docx into the converter above. The title becomes the title slide, every Heading 1 and Heading 2 a slide (a Heading 1 followed by Heading 2s becomes a section divider), paragraphs and lists become bullet points with their numbering, tables become real PowerPoint tables and images stay images. Nothing is cut: text that does not fit continues on the next slide. If the document uses no heading styles, short bold or large lines count as headings. It runs entirely in your browser and needs no account. Microsoft's own export in Word for the web is English-only, limited to the First Release audience and being retired. How do I convert a Word document to PowerPoint?

Do I need an account?
No, not for the converter: it runs in your browser and has no page limit. Only the AI version, which condenses the text into key points and speaker notes, needs a free account.
Can't Word do that itself?
Word for the web has an 'Export to PowerPoint presentation' command, but according to Microsoft it is available only in English, only to the First Release audience, supports text only and is being retired. Copilot in PowerPoint can draft a presentation from a Word file if you have a Microsoft 365 plan with Copilot.
Are images from the Word document included?
Yes, in the converter: PNG, JPEG and GIF images come along in their aspect ratio, next to the text of their section or on their own slide. EMF, WMF and SVG graphics are left out. The AI version reads only the text.
My document has no headings. Does it still work?
Yes. Short lines in bold or in a larger size count as headings. If there are none of those either, the text is spread across slides under the document title.
Which files work?
Word files in .docx format up to 100 MB, also from LibreOffice or Google Docs (File, Download, Microsoft Word). Save older .doc files as .docx first.
What if my presentation already exists as a PDF?
