Short answer
Speaker notes are stored in every PowerPoint file as separate text for each slide. This tool reads them in the order the slides appear in the presentation and writes them into a lean Word document: one heading per slide with its number and title, the notes below, no slide images. Hidden slides are marked. With "Include slide text" the slide's own text is added, which turns it into a speaker script or an editable handout, and for decks without notes you get all the slide text. To print notes without slide images in PowerPoint itself, Microsoft says you have to delete the slide thumbnail on every notes page one by one.

How to do it in PowerPoint itself
Handouts in Word
File, Export, Create Handouts, then pick a page layout in the Send to Microsoft Word box. According to Microsoft the export uses a lot of memory; with large files it can fail, and the fix is a restart or exporting the deck in parts.
Print notes pages
File, Print, and under Settings change Full Page Slides to the Notes Pages print layout. Each page then holds one slide with its notes.
Print without slide images
According to Microsoft you have to open Notes Page view and select and delete the slide thumbnail on every page by hand. This tool gives you the notes without images straight away.
Why nothing is uploaded
The tool runs as a program in your browser. The presentation is opened and read there, and you get the result as a download. It is not sent to Slaide or any other server.
The first time, the browser loads the tool's own code once, not your file. You can check this yourself in the developer tools under Network.

Is my presentation uploaded?
No. The file is read in your browser and never leaves your device, which is why it also works for confidential presentations.
Is the slide order right?
Yes. The tool reads the order from the presentation itself, the way you see the slides in PowerPoint, even after you rearranged them.
My presentation has no notes. What do I get?
Then the tool turns on "Include slide text" and you get all the text on the slides, slide by slide. That is also a way to copy the text out of a presentation without PowerPoint.
Does it work with Google Slides or Keynote?
Yes, by way of PowerPoint: in Google Slides use File, Download, Microsoft PowerPoint; in Keynote export to PowerPoint; then drop the .pptx here.
Does it work with .ppt files and on a Mac?
On a Mac, on Windows and on phones, yes, in any current browser. Old .ppt files, no: open them in PowerPoint and save as .pptx. Files can be up to 400 MB.
