In short

A pitch deck has ten minutes to make investors want a second meeting. This example shows the classic structure on ten slides for a fictional energy startup raising a seed round: problem, solution, traction, market, business model, competition, team and funding. The company and all figures are made up.

What this example does well

Techniques you can take over, visible in the images above.

  • The problem slide has one sentence: a quarter hour decides the power bill for the year.

  • Traction is a bar per quarter, and the market is TAM, SAM and SOM as three circles.

  • The last number is the ask: a €2.5M seed with use of funds and milestones.

What you need beforehand

To make your own document just as concrete, have this ready.

  • The problem in one sentence that a stranger understands

  • One provable traction number, such as revenue per quarter

  • Market size with a source, split into total, reachable and winnable

  • The amount you are raising, the use of funds and the milestones

Common mistakes when you rebuild it

What to watch for.

  • Too many slides

Ten to twelve are enough. Each extra slide lowers the chance that anyone is still listening when you reach the ask.

  • A market number with no derivation

"A billion-dollar market" no longer convinces anyone. Show how much of it you can reach and win, and cite where the number comes from.

  • The ask is missing

The last number is what you are raising, with use of funds and milestones. Without it, nobody can say yes.

FAQ

Anything missing? Ask us

How many slides should a pitch deck have?

Ten to twelve is the usual range. This example has ten: title, problem, solution, traction, market, business model, competition, team, funding and closing.

Can I download this as an editable file?

The example itself is a set of images, not a file. To get an editable version for your own startup, describe it to Slaide, which exports a real PowerPoint file you can change.

How do I build a pitch deck like this with Slaide?

Describe your startup, figures and round, or upload what you have. Slaide plans ten slides and designs them, and you check every number before an investor sees it. The guide "AI Pitch Deck Generator" shows the steps.

Was this example made with Slaide?

No. It is designed by hand for a fictional company with sample figures, so you can see what a good structure looks like. What Slaide builds from your content looks different: it comes from your figures and goals, and you adjust every page.
